National Treasure? :o

Adventure Summary:

The party was tasked by Mr. Smiles, an odd fellow with a bright yellow mask and obvious ties to the Garamond Watch to investigate Copperhead's involvement with the Colonnans, and to bring him in for questioning, and they were provided with swift phantom horses to help them along the way.

Upon arriving at the manor, the party got up to their usual hijinks, ransacking cupboards, blowing up kitchens, beating on Tar Babies and Alabaster statues amongst other things. There, they discovered a rather startling fact; Darren Copperhead bore more than a striking resemblance to Gareth Copperhead the First, or there was a rather bad mixup with the portrait gallery.

Also, they triggered a lightning trap while attempting to break into Copperhead's study on the ground floor, resulting in Orson being trapped inside with a rather touchy-feely shadow. :o :o :o

And cut. We ended on a cliff-hanger.

1. Loot tally for this week's episode (04 April 2009)

a. Silverware and China (Party)

Pilfered from Darren Copperhead's kitchen and banquet hall. This collection of utensils is valued at 345 gp and split amongst the party.

b. A finely weighted throwing dagger (Dith)

This ornate dagger has a rearing snake motif on its cross piece, and is weighted for throwing. A greenish blood groove runs along the length of the blade.

c. A small pistol (Dith)

This breech loading pistol is small enough to fit in the palm. It has been designed to hold and fire two bullets.

d. A moth-eaten cloak (Dith)

An old cloak that has clearly seen better days. The outside is lined with a shiny, waterproof material.

2. Experience Awards (04 April 2009)

a. Bob, Dith, Orson and Yan Sin gain 2,000 xp. Bob is now at 18,000 xp. Dith is at 20,000 xp. Orson is at 19,750 xp and Yan Sin is at 16,000 xp. Yan Sin makes Level 6.

b. Joey was absent, and only gains 1,000 xp. She is now at 19,000 xp.

a. A nasty looking mallet (Bob)

This mean looking, two-handed hammer is an Adamantine Great Club. While this hunk of rock on a stick might look like a rather unelegant tool, it packs a mean punch, and can pretty much break anything.
