What a stinker!

Adventure Summary:

After a two week hiatus, our adventurers are back today, and rawring to go! Crashing the Colonnan ambassador's party proved easy enough, and they managed to sneak into the embassy without incident.

However, their explorations proved a little more troublesome, first with Sandwich's alien abduction, and later the discovery of a secret temple to "HE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED" behind a painting that looked strangely similar to the curtain commissioned by Sir Robin.

Fig 1. Orson and Sandwich being grappled by tentacles from outer space. Oh noes! D:

The encounter with the Colonnan cultists in the temple though didn't end quite as heroically, with Orson killed in action, and Az, Subway and Sandwich arrested on charges of trespassing and character assassination. The act was also treated as a declaration of war, leading to a POLITICAL INCIDENT and dramatic stand off between Garamond and Colonna. With no sneaky halfling present to help them weasel their way out of the predicament, our adventurers had to rely on the help of Venti to spring them from the embassy where they were held.

Orson was eventually reincarnated at the hippie grove, but they weren't quite able to put him back together again. He'd returned as a Troglodyte! :o

Of course, that, and the stench, didn't dissuade our party from putting the clues together, interviewing the Lady Lucida of the Mostly Holy Knights, and uncovering the truth behind Sir Robin's murder - he had been involved in an investigation about the Colonnan cult, and had uncovered a list of members who were in the Mostly Holy Knights, but had been silenced before he could bring the information to the authorities!

Now, where oh where could this list be?

1. Loot tally for this week's episode (16 May 2009)

a. None.

Unfortunately, the party's capture had divested them of a chance to loot the silverware from the embassy, or the bodies of the slain clerics from the temple of HE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED. You're lucky they didn't confiscate your gear and your gold!

2. Experience Awards (16 May 2009)

a. All party members present today earn 2,000 XP. This means that everyone is now at 29,000 XP, and Az, Orson, Subway AND Venti all reach Level 8. However, Orson loses the excess XP due to his unfortunate brush with death, and is at 28,000 XP.

3. Party Loot

None this week.

4. Quest Items

a. The Curtain

An incomplete tapestry curtain showing Sir Robin riding through a forested area towards a Colonnan castle. The sky is overcast, and an ominous cloud with eerie red eyes hangs over the castle, while 13 cloaked figures stand watching on the parapets. Birds of all sorts, too small to make out, seem to be fleeing from the castle. A note was found sewn secretly into the tapestry, addressed to Lady Lucida, revealing that the list of cultists had been passed on to Sir Fly.
